Osho says, “India is the only land in the whole world, strangely, which has devoted all its talents in a concentrated effort to see the truth and to be the truth.” It was in 2013 that I gave up my lucrative commercial career and moved to the mountains of Dharamshala, a heavenly abode in North India. Dharamsala is popular as the seat of Tibetan government in exile as well as home of His Holiness The Dalai Lama, since 1959. The picturesque and peaceful surroundings is home to many monasteries and spiritual centers of all faiths and religion. It is here that I drew inspiration to meditate and let the creative and healing energies guide me to start painting and complete a series on The Buddha. The inner journey of creativity and arts led me on the path to India’s eternal journey with its roots in the Indian mythology, the Gods and Goddesses, and theme of oneness in each. All are but different avatars of the truth we yearn to seek and be.
